Holiday Gifts

Well, it's that time of year again. The holidays are here.

If you're looking for a present that someone can actually use, is kind to your skin and the planet, then you might want to think about our holiday soaps. We have 2 and 3 soap gift packs, we are wrapping them in holiday material and their on sale!
So check them out at www.soaptheearth.com
We hope you all have a very happy and safe holiday season.

Shaving Suds

I've been researching and developing an all natural vegan shaving soap. After several attempts I think I'm on to something.
I added kosher vegetarian glycerin and castor oil for a rich, thick lather. Avocado, shea butter and cocoa butter for moisturizing and healing properties and kaolin clay for extra slip. I used eucalyptus, peppermint and cedar wood pure essential oils for a crisp, fresh scent, which also have antibacterial qualities.
We are selling the container of "Shaving Suds" for $10.00 each.
I hope you enjoy this new product.

A new home for the bees

Well, it's that time of year again, the bees are swarming looking for a home.
We found a swarm today on our property, Sequit Falls Ranch in Malibu.
Gary suited up and was off to work.
First he sprayed the swarm with a little water to keep them together and then he cut the branch the swarm was on and shook them into a box. We then took them to the spot where we had our bee hive set up. In the shade of some trees, up off the ground and near a water supply. All things the bees appreciate.
Next we put a sheet down right next to the entrance of the bee hive and shook them onto the sheet. It was fascinating to see, the bees walk right into their new home.

Home sweet home!

New kitchen

My husband Gary has been building me a new soap kitchen. It's getting close to completion and I'm getting excited about moving in. It's a bigger space and will have an area to package and ship too.
I'll post pictures soon.

Growing Calendula Flowers

Calendula time, yeah!
One of my favorite times of year, when the calendula is ready to harvest. These plants are little work horses. I will be able to pick flowers approximately every other day for the next few months. If I protect them through the hottest of the summer months I should get another season of blooms after that. You often hear people say that Calendula is the same as marigolds but that isn't true.  Calendula has so many healing properties and I love to add it to many of my soaps and creams.
